2025: Reprobate Media's Year of Filth, Fury, and Fire

As the self-proclaimed "Rock 'n' Roll Rainmakers," Reprobate Media tore through 2025 like a chainsaw through bubblegum, promoting a rogue's gallery of underground heroes, garage punks, and genre-bending misfits. This publicity powerhouse, helmed by a crew of reprobate souls, amplified voices from the fringes—record labels, bands, and freaks alike—delivering a soundtrack for the apocalypse. From lo-fi snarls to power-pop gems, here's our best-of overview, spotlighting the releases that defined 2025’s chaotic orbit.

January ignited with DUSTAPHONICS' Gasolina, a blistering fusion of soul, grit, and rock energy featuring haunting collabs like "Voodoo Love Jinx" with Lisa Kekaula. It set the tone for boundary-smashing mayhem. Close behind, SLOKS dropped VIPER on January 28, channeling raw, primal fury from Italy's underbelly—think Iggy Pop meets a trash compactor, all lo-fi venom and unhinged riffs.

February brought THE TEARAWAYS' RetroActive, a sprawling power-pop compilation mining over four decades of hooks and harmonies. Santa Barbara's finest proved timeless earworms never die; they just get louder. (R.I.P. Clem Snide) Spring exploded with MUCK AND THE MIRES' Beat Revolution in April—a 14-track beat-punk blitz on Dirty Water Records, reviving '60s swagger with modern snarl. May spotlighted THE KIDS teaming with Johnny Depp for the doc Punk Under the Sun, a rebel yell chronicling Florida's punk origins. Depp's narration added Hollywood grit to raw archival fire.

Summer scorched with JACKET BURNER's debut LP in September, dishing hate, filth, and sleaze in spades—pure scuzz-rock for the damned. USELESS EATERS followed with the 7" Ego Shell / Rub, teasing their upcoming LP on Goodbye Boozy Records, all angular post-punk edge. Dutch punks THE COVIDS unleashed their sophomore slab mid-month, a snotty, high-octane riot via Wap Shoo Wap. CHEATER SLICKS' Don't Like You reissue nodded to '95 sludge legends, while SCREAMING SNEAKERS' Violent Days evoked feral energy.

Fall ramped up with ITCHES' House Animal Included in November, a Belgian garage nod to '60s rebellion—authentic, wild, and unpolished. December capped it with BETA VOIDS' debut EP Scrape It Off on Hovercraft, glitchy noise-punk perfection, and FERAL's self-titled crusher on Wap Shoo Wap, blending thrash and psych.

2025 wasn't just another year of releases—it was a full-throated rebellion against the polished, algorithm-fed mainstream. Reprobate Media, the London-Phoenix based rock 'n' roll rainmakers, spent the year slinging publicity grenades for the underground's fiercest outlaws, amplifying raw garage snarls, punk fury, and power-pop hooks that refuse to play nice. From transatlantic collabs to debut blasts, we bridged the deserts of New Mexico to Europe's grimiest basements, reminding everyone that real rock thrives in the dirt!
