SLOKS Unleash a Frenzy of Lo-Fi Garage Punk with New Album “VIPER” Set for Early 2025 Release

Turin, Italy – November 12, 2024 – Prepare for the raw, primitive energy of SLOKS! Since their start in 2015, this Italian lo-fi garage punk quartet has made an unapologetically loud name for themselves with a brutal sound that’s both dirty and desperate. Now, with their upcoming album VIPER set to drop in early 2025 on Goodbye Boozy Records, SLOKS is ready to redefine chaotic rock 'n' roll once again.

From their early days as a guitar-drums-vocals trio featuring Buddy Fuzz on guitar and Claudy on vocals, SLOKS released their debut 7” vinyl single in 2017 (SOB Records/Double Face Records/Resurrection Records) and their breakout album Holy Motor in 2018 on Voodoo Rhythm Records. They followed with the critically acclaimed A Knife in Your Hand in 2021, featuring powerhouse drummer Tony Machete, who took their sound to an even harder, more primal edge. Along the way, SLOKS' fierce dedication to gritty garage rock earned them spots on two compilations: Mandinga Records' You Didn’t Think We Could Take It! Vol 2, a tribute to Subsonics, and Bomb Your Brain Vol 2 on Pigmè Records.

In 2023, SLOKS evolved once more with a new lineup that introduced Rudy “Red” Valentine (Barsexuals, Los Mofongos) on vocals, bringing an explosive energy and unfiltered edge to their performances. They also added guitarist Massimo Scocca (Lame, Two Bo’s Maniacs) for a double-guitar assault that amplifies their signature sound. The current lineup—featuring Tony Machete on drums, Buddy Fuzz on guitar, Scocca on guitar, and Valentine on vocals—recorded 13 new tracks at Swampland Studio in Toulouse, France, under the production of Lo Spider (Blew-Up!, Destination Lonely, Dividers).

The title video track, “VIPER,” is a blistering introduction to the album, embodying everything SLOKS fans have come to expect: raw, relentless garage punk energy, wild vocals, and a beat that won’t quit. This ferocious preview captures SLOKS’ chaotic stage presence, honed through performances across Europe and a recent tour of Japan alongside legends like King Brothers.
