Psych Rockers HOWLIN' JAWS Hit Cowbells & Whistles in New Video, "Healer"

Howlin' Jaws, the Parisian psych rock trio, has just unveiled their latest music video for "Healer," a standout track from their acclaimed album Half Asleep Half Awake. The video, visually stunning, showcases the band's unique style and inventive spirit.

The video for "Healer" is a testament to the band's commitment to authenticity and innovation. Eschewing green screens and post-production tools, the group achieved a seamless background transition by filming the same choreography in over 30 different beloved Parisian locations. This unique method brings a dynamic and vibrant energy to the video, showcasing the band's deep connection to their hometown.

Having recently opened for the BLACK KEYS in France, Howlin' Jaws now presents a new video that celebrates the cowbell, declaring it "MORE COWBELL" and, notably, "COWBELL EVERYWHERE." This instrument is central to the song’s energy, prominently featured in the clip.

The band explains, “This video is ALL ABOUT COWBELL. It’s not just part of the mix; it’s the heart of the song. In this clip, it takes the spotlight. Baptiste, with his mullet and 70s attire, is the world’s coolest cowbell player, leading a wild, choreographed journey through Paris.”

Half Asleep Half Awake, which also features singles like “Bewitched Me,” “Mirror Mirror,” and “Lost Songs"  The album provided Howlin' Jaws the opportunity to collaborate with renowned producer Liam Watson. Drummer Baptiste Leon shared insights about the analog recording process in a recent interview: “It's interesting to confront the analog method, which is used less and less. Beyond the sound, which is extraordinary on tape, there is an immediacy in the way of recording, which means that we leave a few imperfections, or start all over again. Post-production is much less present.”
